Some recent projects have experienced serious delays and cost overruns; others were delivered more predictably. Financing, repeating the same design, industrial supply chains, team experience and management all make a difference.
Comparisons should include the complete system and the electricity produced over several decades. A plant price that ignores financing, operating life and contribution to the grid does not tell the whole story.
